It has been so nice to get to know the learners these past few days of school! I have been able to connect to many parents using Class Dojo as well, and have shared some of the things we have been doing on our class story. Thank you to all those parents who have checked this out!
I didn't realize how twenty-two learners could fill a room! We are still practicing the expectations and procedures for things like lining up and for getting to share ideas with others. If I forget to award Dojo points, I apologize. The class is doing a great job working toward being a good team, and toward remembering all the rules. So parents know the rules, I will post them below:
Rule Number One: "Follow directions quickly and quietly."
Rule Number Two: "Raise your hand for permission to speak."
Rule Number Three: "Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat."
Rule Number Four: "Make smart choices."
Rule Number Five: "Keep your dear teacher happy!"
In addition to the rules, the class has a few Standard Operating Procedures, or SOPs, we are practicing. The SOPs are posted in our classroom, and can be found on the Code of Cooperation and SOPs page on this site - see the "more..." menu above.
My homeroom has listed the math goals they have set for themselves for this trimester. I'm so happy! The learners have some great goals they are shooting for, and I know with hard work and practice all those goals can all be achieved.
